ESPRESSO
Espresso is a strong and intense coffee drink produced by the pressure of diluted water passing through finely ground coffee beans. This brewing method is based on the high pressure used by the espresso machine, which allows to squeeze out a concentrated and thick coffee drink. Espresso is special for its small volume (usually about 30 ml or one ounce) and intense flavor. It has a strong coffee flavor with a rather spicy, sour or sometimes sweet aftertaste. The popularity of this drink comes from its quick preparation, concentrated taste and the possibility to use it as a basis for the production of other coffee drinks, such as cappuccino or latte. Espresso is often consumed pure, without dilution, and is the basis for many other coffee drinks that can be made using espresso as a base.
